Aleksei Archer and Alex Guarnaschelli

She worked as an associate in An American Place, a restaurant located in the city of New York for one year. Guarnaschelli began her journey into the culinary world through watching mom, who was editing cookbooks at the time and test a variety of recipes. She was a chef under Larry Forgione and then at various restaurants in New York France and Los Angeles such as Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Guarnaschelli eventually became the executive chef at Butter. Guarnaschelli battled Cat Cora on Food Network's Iron Chef America 2007 Farmers Market Battle. In the years since, she's been at the show's guest judges. She also took part in The Next Iron Chef Season Four in 2011, when she finished third. She also competed on the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode and lost the contest. In the fourth series of The Next Iron Chef, she was hired as a sous chef to Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. She was the host of The Food Network program The Cooking Loft along in conjunction with Alex Guarnaschelli. In this show she taught a group of student chefs how to reinvent classic recipes.
